| CVE-2026-86463 | 1 Apache | 1 Cxf | 2026-10-20 | 7.5 High |
| Apache CXF's FIQL query parser has a vulnerability in how it searches for operators in query expressions. The search pattern can get stuck trying many combinations when it encounters a long string without an operator, causing the parser to consume excessive CPU time. An attacker can send a crafted query to make the server use up CPU resources, potentially slowing down or stopping other requests. The fix was to limit FIQL expressions to 4 KiB by default, preventing attackers from sending extremely long inputs while still allowing normal queries. Users are recommended to upgrade to versions 4.2.4 or 4.1.9 or 3.6.13, which fix this issue. | ||||
| CVE-2026-72067 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-19 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cpu: hotplug: Preserve per instance callback errors cpuhp_invoke_callback() unwinds earlier callbacks for the same hotplug state when one instance fails. The rollback path currently reuses ret, so a successful rollback can hide the original error and make the failed transition look successful. Keep the rollback result separate from the original error. | ||||

| CVE-2026-68116 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-19 | 7.9 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vxlan: mdb: Fix source list corruption on a failed replace When replacing the source list of an MDB remote entry, all existing sources are first marked for deletion and vxlan_mdb_remote_srcs_add() is then called to add the new source list. Sources present in the new list have their deletion mark cleared, and any sources left marked afterwards are removed. If vxlan_mdb_remote_srcs_add() fails partway through, its error path deletes all entries on the remote's source list. That rollback is only correct for its other caller, vxlan_mdb_remote_add(), where the remote was just allocated and the list contains solely entries added during the call. On the replace path the list also holds pre-existing sources, so a failed replace tears them down together with their (S, G) forwarding entries instead of leaving the entry unchanged. This is reachable from an existing (*, G) remote. An EXCLUDE filter that loses sources starts forwarding traffic that should be blocked, while an INCLUDE filter that loses sources drops traffic that should be forwarded. Mark entries created during the current pass with a new VXLAN_SGRP_F_NEW flag. On failure, delete only those entries and clear the deletion mark on the pre-existing ones, so a failed replace leaves the source list untouched. Retain the flag until the whole operation succeeds and then clear it. Also stop vxlan_mdb_remote_src_add() from deleting a pre-existing entry it only looked up when adding that entry's forwarding entry fails. | ||||
| CVE-2026-53092 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-19 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Fix linked reg delta tracking when src_reg == dst_reg Consider the case of rX += rX where src_reg and dst_reg are pointers to the same bpf_reg_state in adjust_reg_min_max_vals(). The latter first modifies the dst_reg in-place, and later in the delta tracking, the subsequent is_reg_const(src_reg)/reg_const_value(src_reg) reads the post-{add,sub} value instead of the original source. This is problematic since it sets an incorrect delta, which sync_linked_regs() then propagates to linked registers, thus creating a verifier-vs-runtime mismatch. Fix it by just skipping this corner case. | ||||

| CVE-2026-31666 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-19 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: fix incorrect return value after changing leaf in lookup_extent_data_ref() After commit 1618aa3c2e01 ("btrfs: simplify return variables in lookup_extent_data_ref()"), the err and ret variables were merged into a single ret variable. However, when btrfs_next_leaf() returns 0 (success), ret is overwritten from -ENOENT to 0. If the first key in the next leaf does not match (different objectid or type), the function returns 0 instead of -ENOENT, making the caller believe the lookup succeeded when it did not. This can lead to operations on the wrong extent tree item, potentially causing extent tree corruption. Fix this by returning -ENOENT directly when the key does not match, instead of relying on the ret variable. | ||||
| CVE-2026-23317 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-19 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/vmwgfx: Return the correct value in vmw_translate_ptr functions Before the referenced fixes these functions used a lookup function that returned a pointer. This was changed to another lookup function that returned an error code with the pointer becoming an out parameter. The error path when the lookup failed was not changed to reflect this change and the code continued to return the PTR_ERR of the now uninitialized pointer. This could cause the vmw_translate_ptr functions to return success when they actually failed causing further uninitialized and OOB accesses. | ||||

| CVE-2026-97381 | 1 Legacyupdate | 1 Legacyupdate | 2026-10-19 | 9.9 Critical |
| Legacy Update is a tool for activating and installing updates on legacy Windows PCs. Legacy Update 1.12.0 through 1.13.1 contains an origin validation error in the IsPermitted method of its ActiveX control. After successfully reading the hosting document's hostname, a hostname that is not on the permitted list falls through without setting E_ACCESSDENIED, causing IsPermitted to return S_OK. An attacker who induces a user to visit a malicious webpage in Internet Explorer can invoke the control to enumerate update and system information, install updates without consent, display dialogs, or restart the computer when a reboot is pending. This issue was fixed in Legacy Update 1.13.2. | ||||
| CVE-2026-98653 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-19 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: s390: Fix _gaccess_shadow_fault() In some circumstances, it is possible that the page of nested guest memory that is being shadowed is not present at all in the parent guest gmap. dat_entry_walk() will not find any leaf entry and return with -ENOENT, which will erroneously be propagated all the way to userspace. Fix by manually calling gmap_link() on the memory of the nested guest that is being shadowed if the mapping was not already present. | ||||

| CVE-2026-98818 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-18 | N/A |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/slab: do not wake up kswapd in __kfree_rcu_sheaf() Since kfree_rcu() can be called under pi_lock (a raw spinlock in the scheduler), kfree_rcu() itself should never allocate memory with __GFP_KSWAPD_RECLAIM as waking up kswapd ends up acquiring pi_lock, which leads to a deadlock. Reproducing the issue even intentionally was not straightforward. The set_cpus_allowed_force() path that is called under pi_lock is exercised very rarely, and competing tasks that allocate memory will most likely wake kswapd up. Therefore the existence of the deadlock was verified with a modified kernel that has a lockdep map for waking up kswapd: ====================================================== WARNING: possible circular locking dependency detected 7.2.0-rc1-slab-for-next+ #10 Not tainted ------------------------------------------------------ git/6660 is trying to acquire lock: ffff8e524533c550 (&p->pi_lock){-.-.}-{2:2}, at: _raw_spin_lock_irqsave+0x12/0x20 but task is already holding lock: ffff8e57bffff1a0 (&pgdat->kswapd_wait){....}-{3:3}, at: _raw_spin_lock_irqsave+0x12/0x20 which lock already depends on the new lock. the existing dependency chain (in reverse order) is: -> #2 (&pgdat->kswapd_wait){....}-{3:3}: __lock_acquire+0x5a4/0xc50 lock_acquire.part.0+0xb7/0x240 lock_acquire+0x70/0x170 __raw_spin_lock_irqsave+0x44/0x80 _raw_spin_lock_irqsave+0x12/0x20 __wake_up_common_lock+0x31/0xa0 __wake_up+0x20/0x40 kswapd_wakeup_wake+0x7e/0x110 wakeup_kswapd+0x295/0x320 wake_all_kswapds+0xac/0x1a0 __alloc_pages_slowpath.constprop.0+0x282/0xf80 __alloc_frozen_pages_noprof+0x32a/0x360 alloc_slab_page+0x2e/0x160 allocate_slab+0x82/0x420 new_slab+0x52/0xb0 refill_objects+0x13d/0x190 refill_sheaf+0x5d/0xd0 __pcs_replace_empty_main+0x230/0xb10 [...] -> #1 (kswapd_wakeup){-.-.}-{0:0}: __lock_acquire+0x5a4/0xc50 lock_sync.part.0+0x75/0x100 lock_sync+0x36/0x70 might_wakeup_kswapd+0x61/0xa0 __kfree_rcu_sheaf+0x33/0xd90 kvfree_call_rcu+0x1d4/0x3b0 set_cpus_allowed_force+0x163/0x220 cpuset_cpus_allowed_fallback+0x18b/0x240 select_fallback_rq+0x1e6/0x250 [...] -> #0 (&p->pi_lock){-.-.}-{2:2}: check_prev_add+0xe6/0xe00 validate_chain+0x51e/0x6e0 __lock_acquire+0x5a4/0xc50 lock_acquire.part.0+0xb7/0x240 lock_acquire+0x70/0x170 __raw_spin_lock_irqsave+0x44/0x80 _raw_spin_lock_irqsave+0x12/0x20 try_to_wake_up+0x77/0xa90 default_wake_function+0x27/0x60 autoremove_wake_function+0x23/0xb0 __wake_up_common+0xb8/0x170 __wake_up_common_lock+0x51/0xa0 __wake_up+0x20/0x40 kswapd_wakeup_wake+0x7e/0x110 wakeup_kswapd+0x295/0x320 wake_all_kswapds+0xac/0x1a0 __alloc_pages_slowpath.constprop.0+0x282/0xf80 __alloc_frozen_pages_noprof+0x32a/0x360 alloc_slab_page+0x2e/0x160 allocate_slab+0x82/0x420 new_slab+0x52/0xb0 refill_objects+0x13d/0x190 refill_sheaf+0x5d/0xd0 __pcs_replace_empty_main+0x230/0xb10 [...] other info that might help us debug this: Chain exists of: &p->pi_lock --> kswapd_wakeup --> &pgdat->kswapd_wait Possible unsafe locking scenario: CPU0 CPU1 ---- ---- lock(&pgdat->kswapd_wait); lock(kswapd_wakeup); lock(&pgdat->kswapd_wait); lock(&p->pi_lock); *** DEADLOCK *** 3 locks held by git/6660: #0: ffff8e519f0e9e20 (&type->i_mutex_dir_key#6){++++}-{4:4}, at: lookup_slow+0x2d/0x60 #1: ffffffff8a31c460 (kswapd_wakeup){-.-.}- ---truncated--- | ||||
| CVE-2026-74367 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-16 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath12k: fix inconsistent arvif state in vdev_create error paths ath12k_mac_vdev_create() has three error path issues that leave arvif in an inconsistent state: 1. When ath12k_wmi_vdev_create() fails, the function returns directly without clearing arvif->ar, which was already set before the WMI call. Subsequent code checking arvif->ar to determine vdev readiness will see a non-NULL value despite no vdev existing in firmware. 2. When ath12k_wmi_send_peer_delete_cmd() fails in err_peer_del, the code jumped to err: skipping the DP peer cleanup and vdev rollback, leaving num_created_vdevs, vdev maps and arvif list membership live. 3. When ath12k_wait_for_peer_delete_done() fails, the code jumped to err_vdev_del: skipping the DP peer cleanup. Fix by changing the ath12k_wmi_vdev_create() failure to goto err instead of returning directly, routing both err_peer_del failure paths through err_dp_peer_del: for proper DP peer and vdev rollback, and consolidating the arvif state cleanup at err:. Tested-on: WCN7850 hw2.0 PCI WLAN.HMT.1.1.c5-00302-QCAHMTSWPL_V1.0_V2.0_SILICONZ-1.115823.3 | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv4: fib: Don't ignore error route in local/main tables. When CONFIG_IP_MULTIPLE_TABLES is enabled but no rule is added, fib_lookup() performs route lookup directly on two tables. Since the first lookup does not properly bail out, the result of an error route in the merged local/main table could be overwritten by another route in the default table: # unshare -n # ip link set lo up # ip route add 192.168.0.0/24 dev lo table 253 # ip route add unreachable 192.168.0.0/24 # ip route get 192.168.0.1 192.168.0.1 dev lo table default uid 0 cache <local> Once a random rule is added, the error route is respected: # ip rule add table 0 # ip rule del table 0 # ip route get 192.168.0.1 RTNETLINK answers: No route to host Let's fix the inconsistent behaviour. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iommu/riscv: Serialize command queue publishing Serialize command queue publishing so software producer state advances only after a command is written and the hardware tail is updated. | CVE-2026-90242 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-15 | N/A |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iommu/vt-d: Fix iopf_refcount leak on RID domain replacement intel_iommu_attach_device() enables IOPF for the new domain but never disables it for the old one. device_block_translation(), called at the start of the function, tears down translation but does not touch any IOPF state; blocking_domain_attach_dev() has to call iopf_for_domain_remove() explicitly before invoking it for exactly this reason. identity_domain_attach_dev() has the same problem. Its comment claims that no PRI handling is needed because the device has been put in the blocking state, but the blocking state and the IOPF reference count are independent of each other. As a result, replacing a domain that has an iopf_handler with another domain at RID level leaks a reference in info->iopf_refcount. The count never drops back to zero, so iopf_queue_remove_device() is never called and iommu_disable_pci_pri() triggers its WARN_ON(info->iopf_refcount) when the device is released. The PASID paths already handle this correctly by way of iopf_for_domain_replace(); convert the two RID paths to do the same. Using the replace helper rather than a bare remove keeps the enable before the disable, so the reference count does not transiently reach zero and evict the device from the IOPF queue. | ||||

| CVE-2026-43045 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-15 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mshv: Fix error handling in mshv_region_pin The current error handling has two issues: First, pin_user_pages_fast() can return a short pin count (less than requested but greater than zero) when it cannot pin all requested pages. This is treated as success, leading to partially pinned regions being used, which causes memory corruption. Second, when an error occurs mid-loop, already pinned pages from the current batch are not properly accounted for before calling mshv_region_invalidate_pages(), causing a page reference leak. Treat short pins as errors and fix partial batch accounting before cleanup. | ||||
