| Boa web server - CWE-22: Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') |
| OSS Endpoint Manager is an endpoint manager module for FreePBX. OSS Endpoint Manager module activation can allow authenticated web users unauthorized access to read system files with the permissions of the webserver process. This vulnerability is fixed in 14.0.4. |
| A path traversal issue potentially leading to remote code execution in Genie for all versions prior to 4.3.18 |
| A vulnerability in the NuPoint Unified Messaging (NPM) component of Mitel MiCollab through 9.8 SP2 (9.8.2.12) could allow an unauthenticated attacker to conduct a path traversal attack due to insufficient input validation. A successful exploit could allow unauthorized access, enabling the attacker to view, corrupt, or delete users' data and system configurations. |
| DSpace open source software is a repository application which provides durable access to digital resources. Prior to versions 7.6.4, 8.2, and 9.1, a path traversal vulnerability is possible during the import of an archive (in Simple Archive Format), either from command-line (`./dspace import` command) or from the "Batch Import (Zip)" user interface feature. An attacker may craft a malicious Simple Archive Format (SAF) package where the `contents` file references any system files (using relative traversal sequences) which are readable by the Tomcat user. If such a package is imported, this will result in sensitive content disclose, including retrieving arbitrary files or configurations from the server where DSpace is running. The Simple Archive Format (SAF) importer / Batch Import (Zip) is only usable by site administrators (from user interface / REST API) or system administrators (from command-line). Therefore, to exploit this vulnerability, the malicious payload would have to be provided by an attacker and trusted by an administrator (who would trigger the import). The fix is included in DSpace 7.6.4, 8.2 and 9.1. For those who cannot upgrade immediately, it is possible to manually patch the DSpace backend. (No changes are necessary to the frontend.) A pull request exists which can be used to patch systems running DSpace 7.6.x, 8.x or 9.0. Although it is not possible to fully protect the system via workarounds, one may can apply a best practice. Administrators must carefully inspect any SAF archives (they did not construct themselves) before importing, paying close attention to the `contents` file to validate it does not reference files outside of the SAF archives. |

| The game extension engine of versions 1.2.7.0 and earlier exposes some components, and attackers can construct parameters to perform path traversal attacks, which can overwrite local specific files |
| Swift ASN.1 can be caused to crash when parsing certain BER/DER constructions. This crash is caused by a confusion in the ASN.1 library itself which assumes that certain objects can only be provided in either constructed or primitive forms, and will trigger a preconditionFailure if that constraint isn't met.
Importantly, these constraints are actually required to be true in DER, but that correctness wasn't enforced on the early node parser side so it was incorrect to rely on it later on in decoding, which is what the library did.
These crashes can be triggered when parsing any DER/BER format object. There is no memory-safety issue here: the crash is a graceful one from the Swift runtime. The impact of this is that it can be used as a denial-of-service vector when parsing BER/DER data from unknown sources, e.g. when parsing TLS certificates. |
| Local File Inclusion (LFI) vulnerability in a Render function of Formulatrix Rock Maker Web (RMW) allows a remote attacker to obtain sensitive data via arbitrary code execution. A malicious actor could execute malicious scripts to automatically download configuration files in known locations to exfiltrate data including credentials, and with no rate limiting a malicious actor could enumerate the filesystem of the host machine and potentially lead to full host compromise.
This issue affects Rock Maker Web: from 3.2.1.1 and later |
| Mesop is a Python-based UI framework designed for rapid web apps development. A vulnerability has been discovered and fixed in Mesop that could potentially allow unauthorized access to files on the server hosting the Mesop application. The vulnerability was related to insufficient input validation in a specific endpoint. This could have allowed an attacker to access files not intended to be served. Users are strongly advised to update to the latest version of Mesop immediately. The latest version includes a fix for this vulnerability. At time of publication 0.12.4 is the most recently available version of Mesop. |
| Improper limitation of a pathname to a restricted directory ('Path Traversal') issue exists in TimeWorks 10.0 to 10.3. If exploited, arbitrary JSON files on the server may be viewed by a remote unauthenticated attacker. |
| Directory Traversal vulnerability in Centro de Tecnologia da Informaco Renato Archer InVesalius3 v3.1.99995 allows attackers to write arbitrary files unto the system via a crafted .inv3 file. |
| A Path Traversal vulnerability in AllSky v2023.05.01 through v2024.12.06_06 allows an unauthenticated attacker to create a webshell and remote code execution via the path, content parameter to /includes/save_file.php. |
| A vulnerability in the gradio-app/gradio repository, version git 67e4044, allows for path traversal on Windows OS. The implementation of the blocked_path functionality, which is intended to disallow users from reading certain files, is flawed. Specifically, while the application correctly blocks access to paths like 'C:/tmp/secret.txt', it fails to block access when using NTFS Alternate Data Streams (ADS) syntax, such as 'C:/tmp/secret.txt::$DATA'. This flaw can lead to unauthorized reading of blocked file paths. |
| Tiny-Scientist is a lightweight framework for automating the entire lifecycle of scientific research—from ideation to implementation, writing, and review. In versions 0.1.1 and below, a critical path traversal vulnerability has been identified in the review_paper function in backend/app.py. The vulnerability allows malicious users to access arbitrary PDF files on the server by providing crafted file paths that bypass the intended security restrictions. This vulnerability allows attackers to: read any PDF file accessible to the server process, potentially access sensitive documents outside the intended directory and perform reconnaissance on the server's file system structure. This issue does not currently have a fix. |
